The Canada working people built after the war didn’t happen because the right party won an election. It happened because working people organized enough power in their unions and co-operatives that the establishment had no choice but to respond. That power was taken back, piece by piece, decade by decade. And it will not be handed back by any politician.

It has to be taken. By organizing, knocking on doors, making calls, talking to our neighbours, building the kind of power the establishment has no choice but to answer to. For the first time in forty years, New Democrats are fighting to reshape the balance of power in this country.
